| Agent Smith | FO on the 777 is about 98 CA on the 777 is significantly more senior at 87-88 CA on the 767/757 (domestic) is very roughly 91 CA on the 767 (international) is very roughly 91 CA on the MD-88 is late 98, early 99-ish Very VERY rough numbers.

![]() Would you be so kind to explain the 98, 91, 87-88 numbers again? I remember a post from a few months ago that stabbed at it, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance.

| Agent Smith | Add 1900 to that number to see what year the person was hired in.

| Agent Smith | 96 "unfilled" widebody seats from the last bid and the company is starting to ask, "why aren't people bidding these seats?" Jerry McGuire baby!

| So Doug, with so many unfilled widebody seats, why aren't people bidding them? |

| Moderator | The hassle of the commute isn't worth it. Up the incentive, and people will bid it ![]() Hence the Jerry Maguire reference, Show Me The Money!. If the $ was better, Bill might have considered bidding it. But, the slight increase in pay wouldn't offset the commuting issues.

| Doug, this is probably a dumb questions, but I was curious why did you bid for 767 and not 777? Or in other words - why did you choose this bid over something else, providing your seniority allowed you to bid for something else? |

| Moderator | He has a much choiceier sched on the 76 than he would on the 777. There's more to bidding than just bidding something because your senority allows you to hold it. QOL, the commute, your relative senority in category (will you be junior reserve or will you be a lineholer), etc.

| Old Skool | I know its not DL but at Continental newhires have gone directly into the 777 in EWR. Have fun on eternal reserve. Thing is the 777 and 756 usually go junior in the classes, especially for people that dont want EWR. You have to wait 2 years to bid down, but can bid up at any time. The only way to get CLE is in the 737 and IAH is about a year wait on the 756, and youd be off reserve in EWR on the 777 before you could hold IAH.
