I would draw the line at the point I feel someone is making false claims (or advertising PFT). Like I said, I don't think FSA makes any false claims. I think RAA does. The regional airlines are not "growing and constantly hiring new pilots"- they are furloughing, but a select few get lucky and get hired every now and then....and they sure as hell (for the most part) do NOT have 700 hours. On top of that, no matter where you train (with the exception of PFT)- you would be hard pressed to be in the right seat of a regional airliner in 14 months.

Just my $.02 for whatever its worth...

It's marketing. You just need to read through the crap. It doesn't necessarily make them better or worse than any other school. Seen any prescription drug (Viagra, etc.) or SUV advertisements, just as examples, that you would take at face value?

Okay. I honestly want to understand what it is in those claims that seperates RAA from FSA.

[/ QUOTE ]

For me, it's not the claims they make... it's the fact that RAA emailed me; FSA did not.

FSA bought Doug's jetcareers ad space; RAA did not, but RAA did have to get my email address from somewhere, wanna guess where?

Shooter13..thanks for the reply and your opinion. That was the kind of post I was looking for.

Eat,Sleep,Fly...I'm not trying to get you into an argument. I have spent time at the FSA site. There are a few things I take issue with but, all in all, I didn't see enough to trigger my "I-wouldn't-accept-their-advertising button". I don't know a lot about RAA, but I see their claims and see some things similar between what they are trying to do and what FSA is doing. RAA's claims are more...dramatic...for lack of a better word (or my lack of vocabulary) and I'm just wondering if I should advise the webmaster of a site I'm a big part of to reject RAA's advertising money.

Fair enough. Please don't take my posts to be disrespectful though...I really don't mean to come across sounding like that-but I think maybe I did. I dont seem to have the knack for conveying emotions and tone of voice with words.

Doesn't FSA guarantee interviews with some regionals if you do the right program? Isn't FSA's goal to get you to a regional cockpit with 700/100, if you do the right program? Does not FSA claim to be getting guys hired, even in this economy, if you do the right program? Does not FSA claim that you can go from zero hours to an airline seat in 14 months, if you do that right program

[/ QUOTE ]

I know this has been touched on, but again FSI makes none of these claims. No guaranteed interviews, no bridge programs, no BS. You can interview for a CFI slot (I think everyone knows there is a wait list) and there are internship programs at FlightSafety training centers availible for those on the wait list....

Oh yeah, they also offer quality training. That's really what a flight school is supposed to be about isn't it?
