Think maybe the PA was on, by accident?

| I think it would have mentioned that in the article. Hell, that'd probably be on Youtube by now! I would hope the F/O would slap the mic out of his hand if he made a PA like that anyway.

Generally, when the other pilot is tlaking on the PA instead ofthe interphone, you usually don't find out until it's too late. There are people who have said dumb stuff on the PA and those that haven't done it recently. Guilty!

I don't care how much crew scheduling, dispatch, The Vatican, his wife . . . doesn't matter how mad he was. If he was that angry, he should have gone someplace else and had that conversation. He was wrong, period. P.S. If crew scheduling makes you THAT mad, you can always just quit and let somebody else do the job.

D'oh! You're right I even watched that video last night. Good thing the "pilot put the pedal to the metal."

He is going to have a heck of a time with the FAA. If he was seen as unfit to fly because he was so upset the FAA may suspend his licence... or at least make him do some paper work and pass an mental test.

| Managed to say "Oh F#*k!" on the PA one time and live to tell about it.

For a professional aviator anytime you are closer to the airplane than the top of the jetway the cell phone should be stowed. Over time the cell phone has intruded more and more into professional duties so that incidents like this are inevitable. A pilot shouldn't be having a friendly personal conversation in sight or hearing of his passengers, much less an angry one.

Then I ended up smoking an AC pack about 10 minutes later. Wasn't my most confident day spent on probation... I still gave myself "all fours"!

BofA lost $980 from a cash deposit. Not to mention $200 dollars form overdraft fees from it. I hate them.
