| Agent Smith | The Phoenix Lights Considering that i'm good friends with the Air Force Officer that lead the first investigation into the "Phoenix Lights" incident years ago when people thought there was a UFO floating over metropolitan Phoenix (and invariably right in the approach path of Sky Harbor), well, long story short I guess the story is back!

| Oh, geez. The very first time I saw the video of the "Phoenix lights" I said, "those are flares. What's the big deal?" People are dumb.

| I was under the impression that it was LUU-2 parachute flares that were the source of the first incident. They stay illuminated for many minutes and because of the parachute they descend very slowly. The MJU-10 or MJU-7 flares that an F-16 would drop would burn out quickly, and wouldn't have been able to sustain the scene that the Phoenix peeps saw. My vote is A-10s out of Tuscon that were operating on the Goldwater Range. If they were to re-create the scene, like this dude wants, with F-16s, it would just re-fuel the UFO freaks because it wouldn't look correct.
