Awww, you got your wish

It's the second day of school closings, etc here. I haven't seen this much snow since Wisconsin! Drifts are up past the bottom of hte patio door (which is two steps above the ground), the grill is half-buried, the snow is up past the bottom of the tire swing on the swingset (which is 18" above the ground) and the driveway is completely buried AGAIN. You can't even tell Bill did a darn thing with the snowblower yesterday.

it's cold here, but no snow yet again...i wonder why?

i sometimes wish we got snow dayz here but even if we did, that doesn't necessarily cancel me from having to go to work. the joys of being in school still *sigh*

Glad I am not working today. The Departure board was already colorfull enough with all the pre-cancellations from last night. There has been a total of 3 revenue departures so far from the entire airport.

Comair ferried an airplane BGR-OMA (ouch) this morning, bypassing CVG, when CVG is already out of the weather

If it's going to be in the 'aughts' for for three weeks straight, there really should be snow.

So do you ever take off on the 2nd to last leg of the day and then 10 min. later say, "Uhh . . . where are we going again?" Cuz' I'm pretty sure I'd forget eventually.

I did many a 7-leg day at Eagle, and by the 5th & 6th legs, I had to check my schedule printout to make sure I made the proper flight # and city pair announcements!

The 7th leg, I always knew where we were going, HOME!

For a bit CLE did. CAK did too, only to open and have deicing equipment break. They said a few hours ground stop for that. Funny, I kept hearing the planes land, not sure if it got interesting getting gate space or not.

I'm supposed to go to Albany later today. Hopefully it stays nasty up there and I can just sit in CLT and appreciate the airport.

Yesterday one of the ILS's was out as well as the main radar, so it was down to two icy runways. The snow removal guys have been going nonstop since Monday night. Their still out there clearing runways and taxiways from the nice thick slushcicle that froze into a 1" sheet of ice.

Ha, nah. The biggest thing is we speak to the same controllers multiple times during the day and week. They keep us out of trouble

I am going to send you a pic from my camera phone and show you why you are NOT coming to Albany tonight.*

I actually have a friend who's on positive space business travel in Albany right now, and she's stuck right now until Sunday because they can't get her a seat out! Luckily her parents live there so she sort of gets a mini-vacation.

Here is a picture of us sledding, I'm on the left.

My friend was dragging us around in his Ford 250 Diesel Truck that weights at least 6000 pounds.
