Default Phoenix Air Group

Does anyone have any info on this operation out of Cartersville, GA? I stumpled upon their website and I'm very intrigued about their operation.
thanks

I had some "involvement" with them when I was still in high school. Of course, then they had a couple of Lears and a G-I, much smaller outfit then what they have today. There were 2 brothers that owned it...one of the brothers was way cool, the other one, not so cool. Anyway, the cool brother got killed in a KingAir up in Tenn. After he died, it really wasn't a fun place to be. Now, this was 15+ years ago, and they have grown A LOT, but it is a really tight group.

One part of their operation provides jamming, target, and target towing services for the Navy (and I assume DoD as well)

We'd use their Lears to conduct missile engagements - they'd jam us and we'd try to overcome their jamming and try to come up with a firing solution to engage anyway.

I think it's probably pretty fun flying for them, for their "attack" runs on the ship, they're doing high speed low altitude stuff to simulate a sea-skimming anti-ship missile. When I actually got eyeballs on them, they flew past the ship at an altitude below bridge level - standing on the bridge at 60ft above the water, I was looking down to see them fly by.

For target towing, they tow a target on a 6 mile towrope. After they mark on top, we remove the last safeties, taking HOLD FIRE off and going from AIR READY to AAW AUTO and letting CIWS engage the towed target.

I think if I could get on, I think this is one corporate outfit I'd like to fly for.

If I'm not mistaken, they base some of their "fighter jet" Lears at PHF. Its either them or L-3 Flight International. Mike, you should come down here and work for them...I need a roomate.
