This is more than some anonymous web board to us. We're not screen-names and online 'personas'. We're real people, who often get together in person. I've had the pleasure of having several members over to my own house! They've seen my house, met my husband (also a JC-er), played with my kids, I've even helped one or two get a job!

Nobody cares that you're young and already flying. There've already been members your age flying. I can think of one who got his start even earlier than you! So you're not that special there . We're just leery of someone who demands to remain behind the curtain of complete personal anomynity (though I have to give you kudos for sharing what you have ). If you choose to refuse Doug's request, that is your choice. However, then you can't go and say what an unfriendly site we are here, and how you're on the outside looking in.

Anywho. That's it from me.....

If this guy is not legit then toss him out. Its disrespectful to the JC members who are here to utilize this website for what it is, a place to learn and make friends, some of which could impact our careers. Im greatful for JC and what it has to offer and cant stand when someone comes onboard claiming to be someone they are not. In a way it is an insult.

I say that we should offer ColganFO one more opportunity to step up. Either to say publically or in PM that he is a fake and he is sorry. Or to give the name to Seggy or Doug in PM.

Barring that the admins/mods should do their duty. Whatever it is that, that might be. Dunno, just a suggestion!

As stated before (see above) I agree he didn't get off to a good start, but I would hate to see someone leave the forums just because they got started off on the wrong foot. I believe that this will get cleared up shortly, most likely with him PM Doug or someone else.

I'm being preached to about this being a 'public' website, and under the terms and conditions of the site, he shouldn't have to release private information, blah blah blah.

SIGH.

Another good candidate for use of the "IGNORE" function, Doug!

It's not public if it's sent via PM... by PM, that's private.

Oh, I know, which is why I asked the user to speak to me in private message.

I just wanted the ability to tell everyone either "He's LEGIT, give the guy a break!" or "What do you think we are, a bunch of suckas?!" because the issue is tiresome and I've had to spend an inordinate amount of time during a very busy period dealing with it. Grr.

When people start buying shares of Jetcareers, THEN it's a public board. If it's a PM to Doug, it's purely between the individual and the owner/operator of the web site. Trust me, dude. Doug will keep your stuff confidential.

Even if this guy isn't a troll and he indeed does work for Colgan, he's already proven that he's a complete tool. If I were him, I wouldn't let my personal info out either at this point!

Wait until everybody finds out I'm really only a Private Pilot with an IRA, I'm afraid of the dark, and I got kicked out of the Air Force after 4 months because I'm allergic to milk . . .

Come on, all of us at Colgan know that it happens. And it can and will continue to happen as long as we're not a union company (my shameless plug to organize!).

I personally believe he's really a colgan employee based on some of the info that he's posted that only an employee would have known.

But to ColganFO, if you tell everyone who you are, you'll clear all this waste of time crap up and can move on with posting and become a normal member of the community.

As you can see from my avatar, I'm a firm believer in not hiding behind anonymity. If I have something to say that needs to be said anonymously, that's what PM's are for.
Agreed. No hard feelings! Besides, when we all lose our hearing because the saab is too loud, we still need to be able to talk to each other online.

ColganFO knows too much about the company to not be involved one way or another, but just when people seem to give him another chance he keeps digging the hole deeper with each post....

ColganFO, You stated that you use to work for Pacific Jets, as it turns out I am a personal friend of the owner of Pacific Jets for a couple of years now along with his wife and plenty of the crewmembers. In fact I’ve actually covered plenty of trips for them during a period of merger talks between themselves and my company at that time. The aircraft types that you supposedly flew for them, I was unaware were in operation at Pacific Jets.

Could you please tell me:

How many bases does Pacific Jet have?
Where is Pacific Jets main base, and what free food is always in the main office?
Initials of the owner, along with any identifiable characteristic details?
Initials of the chief pilot?
How would you describe the office(s) in Teterboro?
In Teterboro, does the company have crew cars? If so, how many, and where are the keys?
How would you describe crew accommodations in Teterboro?
