Wait, hold on is it a war movie.
I don't watch war movies, I can handle the violence in them.
I don't think its a good idea to be exposed to that so I probably won't be watching Fill Metal Jacket.

I've never met a male pilot with that mentality before.

I'm not trying to be rude but can you drive a stick shift? Might prove me wrong on another generalization I've thought about.

The reason I ask this is we DO NOT have a checkairman on the Saab OR Beech that is based in ALB. We have one that is going through the training process, but it is not completed for him yet.

The other thing is, that IF what you are saying is true, why have none of us that are based there heard about this from him?

Once again what are the initials of the person that showed you this?
Just trying to help!

His initials were E.Nigma......

HA HA HA
Na just kidding, I actually called him this morning before the annoucement and asked if he'd mine telling the JC community about who he was.
He told me he didn't want his name attached to it, so out of respect I have for him as one of my friends, I will not post his intials on here.
If I give this captains initials people will know who it is immidately, since he is the only checkairman with those initials.

No more PM's asking me for this information.
I will not share this captain's personal information out of respect, its the right thing to do.
The annoucement has already been made so it is no longer a rumour, that should be enough for everyone to know.
Hopefully people won't think of me as such a evil, manipulitave person you all seem to think I am.

It's not the color, it's the boldeness of the 4-stripes given your posting history. I don't know a pilot here that isn't a goal oriented person.

Let's see we have Seggy who is a long-standing, respected member (and other Colganites) that are stating something to the contrary of what you state. Then there is you and your short, tumultuos (sp?) history and you wonder why people have the view of you that they do......

im sure you are right. a lesson i have learned is that you cant write the way you speak since most people cannot write with emotion. he/she comes off extremely arrogant but im sure it isnt as bad as it seems. like to meet him/her one day though. actually im in the middle of the colgan us air service so if they wouldnt mind meeting up ill buy dinner.

Why don't you go ahead and private message me the name of who you spoke to so I can stop getting PM's about a possible "Tomcatter" (use the search!).

you could always use the PM system...obviously seggy knows the guy and is just asking for confirmation... it's not that difficult of a question to answer via PM style.

a "Tomcatter" is the username of a guy who came on here about what, 3 years ago or so ago, claiming to be a fighter pilot....after a bazillion or so posts, people started catching on that he didn't really know what he was talking about...so some of the military guys went into secret sleuth mode and found out the guy was actually a computer desk jockey (civilian) working on a military base posing as a "fighter pilot". Didn't he actually get in trouble with his superior for that? i don't recall....actually, maybe it was more of a threat from other military folks since representing yourself as military when your not is asking for trouble.

If people ask you particular questions to which they already know the answers to.. they're just looking for verification to prove you are who you say you are and you do what you say you do....it's to remove the "i think he's a poser" or "tomcatter" thoughts floating around.

Oh I see Kristie,
Well I will gladly answer anoyone's questions, but I owe a little loyalty to my friend who asked me not identify by name.
I'm sure Seggy is well known and well-liked at Colgan, but if I release my friend's identity in a PM or in a thread, then I will not have honored his request.
I don't think I can compare to this Tomcatter guy, for all the information I have shared has been honest and truthful.
I think the Colgan people are slowly starting to see that, I really do want to make an effort to improve my relationship with people on this site.
I know it will take time, and that everyone will not forgive me.
But I do hope that with time people, will see me for the type of person I really am.

I think that your continued excuses are just making you look more and more like a tomcatter. Previously people were asking to say the persons name in public. Now the Seggy and the site admin are asking you to PM one of them and simply give them a name. Trust me they both can keep a secret.

You can't expect to come on here in the manner in which you did and not expect your credibility to not be questioned. So for your credibility and peace on this issue...just give the name in private. Continued hesitation and excuses will only prove your true character.

Full Metal Jacket was a pretty harsh war time movie.....I've seen quite a few war time movies and they're really quite enlightening and not so much in a violence term but in more of a historical term.

The "Quick and Dirty" on what a Tomcatter is.

More or less someone that shows up to the site, imparts guidance and knowledge, something seems "suspect", people research and determine that the person isn't who he says he is.

Usually ends up in a very embarassing situation.

The website is a friendly place because there's a certain level of trust that we all have with one another. But once that trust is violated, it gets nasty.

If people that work at Colgan are doubting your credentials, it's best you just clear it up behind the scenes with the people who are doing the questioning.

If you're not being honest, you're not welcome in the community because credibility is everything and I'm not going to allow this to devolve into (insert crazy aviation website here).

But if you're straight up legit, well, let's go ahead and take care of that.

Look, Colgan F/O, if your the real deal then just post your name and seniority number. That should take care of it.

I think this whole anonymity thing is BS. Everyone should just post their real name and get on with it. Even Chris Ford isn't afraid to say who he is and that he's a new hire at TSA. He even once had his real pic as his avtar.

Grow a pair and get on with it.

Nobody is asking for your mother's maiden name, home address & social security number.

We're real good at picking out posers/Tomcatters/imposters. You've registered on our Poser-O-Meter. A PM to Doug with the requested info will quiet everyone down.
