Is it really worth it guys? It is just exhausting for me to read the book all of the time. I was thinking something a bit more interactive would help me pay more attention and actually stop looking at the answer before actually reading the question. Yeah, yeah I know I'm a lazy cheater. |

YES - it's much better than the book because it forces you to think. With the book you are allowed to give up easier if you're stuck on a difficult question and just look at the answer that's just inches away. Plus, physically clicking on the correct answer may get you to associate the correct answer better through memory when you take the real test. Also, you can tell it to rework problem areas after you take the practice tests and you can tell it to test you only on specific topics......and what's even cooler is you know your average. If you practice to 90% correct everytime you take it at 50 or so questions, you can be very confident that you'll pass the real written.

I have not taken my PPL yet, but for what its worth, I have stuck to the pilot manual, FAR, and the software. I found my self starting to memorize all the answers and moving to quickly without thinking before I punched myself in the leg. Careful Good luck.

Just read the questions, associate the right answers with the questions so that you have them memorized, go take the test and easily get over a 90. Then go learn the stuff for real without worrying about some test. You can easily do the memorization of the answers in a single day and then go take the test the next morning and ace it. The key to the writtens is to schedule a day to take it and actually get it out of the way. | |

I bought the Gleim PPL software on ebay for $40 new. I must say I am extremely please with all of its functions, especially the Gleim outlines provided. I study the outlines before I head to work, then when I get home in the evening I create a test session on the outline I studied earlier. The questions that I miss I go back and research them in the outline, FAR, textbook, etc. I've always been a big fan of CBT. The price is right too, I use to pay $200 for Trancender software for IT certification prep. Its worth it in my opinion. Good Luck! |
