Default Equal Opportunity Employment

Just a question: do Regional Airlines hire US Green Card holders (e.g. Permanent Residents) the same way they hire citizens, or permanent residents have a disadvantage since they need to go through TSA, which is a cost to the airline and it takes about 4-6 weeks to put an application through. The reason for my question is because recently I completed a type rating program with two other guys on a turbo-prop, and the other two were invited for an interview, and I wasn`t. And the Chief Pilot told me, that the reason for not being invited is because I am only a permanent resident not a citizen. Ironically he is from Norway and got his citizenship recently...So are there airlines out there hiring only Green Card holders?

Don't know the answer to your question, but if you do decide you want to become a citizen, my spouse is an immigration attorney. PM me if you'd like her info.
