Studying the Jepp charts

I don't have easy access to Jepp charts, but I know I have to start studying them for future interviews. What method do you all recommend for becoming familiar with Jepp charts? -- JJC

It has gotten rather expensive in the last few years, but you might want to get an 'Express Pack' that only has charts for your state. Even though the charts go out of date, the Express Pack comes with the full introduction which is a lot more detailed than the PDF download. It also includes the enroute charts.

I am sure someone on this site has some jepp charts that are out of date they could send you. Or even better, at your local airport just ask around. I usually chuck my outdated jepps but if someone caught me at the right time they could have the whole pack as soon as they go out of date. Not current but perfect to study with

The express packs run around $20, and the added benefit of them is not only the more detailed introduction section/legend, but also the fact that you can browse all the charts in the pack and see different examples of all the symbology and information. I have yet to see a situation where all the charts have something in them that you don't have to look up.....

The jeppesen Instrument Procedures Guide is a good tool. Like all other jep stuff its pricey

There's a great resource called the Chart Clinic. It's about a dozen articles that pretty much walk you through the Jepp Charts. I printed them up and studied them for my interview at Alaska.

You know come to think of it, I can't remember if they were made by King or if they were actually made by Jeppesen. All those videos are kinda running together now.
