I think you guys are reading way too deeply into this. The FARs can be confusing... but if you just read what it says and take it literally, it's clear as glass: You must INCLUDE one point of landing that must be at least a 50 miles from your original point of departure!!! ...and that's all there is to it. That means that you could take off and land every 10 miles, and as long as a single stop was more than 50 miles FROM YOUR ---->ORIGINAL<---- DEPARTURE POINT... the whole trip can be put under the XC column. But it will all come down to what the DE thinks |

[/ QUOTE ] It doesnt say you have to have a leg of 50 NM... it says that one point of landing has to be a straight line distance of 50 NM from your point of departure. |
