Ok, I know about getting ratings in the U.S. and having them transcribed to JAA standards... but how about doing it the other way around? Say I get my advanced ratings at a European school, fly for a European regional, then want to come back home at some point? Iain? anyone?

You will basically just have to pass the checkrides (including written) for the licenses, and ratings you want.

I do not think so, the medical over here is very different, but I guess if you can pass one you can pass the other.
