I am in the midst of a career change. I have been working as an Industrial Designer for seven years and have decided to follow a life long dream of flying. I am currently getting my insturment and multi-engine simultanously in the US. My problem is that my wife works for Electrolux Home Products and she was transfered to Spennymore, County Durham UK last May. I would love to persue my avation career and be together but I really don't know if US and UK licensing is similar. Further more their has been rummors that she may be transfered yet again to Pordennonne Italy. What is the possibility of me continuing my training and getting a job in the UK? What opportunities are available in Italy? How will any of this affect me flying for a US airline? Thoughts would be appriciated. |

About converting licenses you should read a post made by another member, it is a very indepth process! http://www.pprune.org/cgibin/ultimat...c&f=2&t=010687 You will convert you licenses to JAA license which is the Joint Aviation Authotiy, I am under the impression that you will not need to convert again if you move to Italy, as to the bets of my knowledge the are JAA too. |
