| Old Skool | Glad you caught on. Although I'm sure some would be willing to debate this finding. . . it is in my best judgement, to be another go-jets. |

I still have my doubts it's gonna fly. My opinion is that it was a vehicle to get some cuts from the NWA mainline guys. Assuming no one buys NWA in bankruptcy, most of the furloughees will probably be re-called or with other carriers by the time Compass is supposed to fly. There goes the CAs that were supposed to staff the RJs. Pay is supposed to be slightly (very slightly) better than PCL's current rates, and supposed they'll be flying the EMB-170. In reality, like most things on the Red Tail side of things, I'll believe it when I see it. They have a certificate with one CRJ that was supposed to be flying IAD-MSP starting two months ago. That has yet to happen. IMO, it was a way for NWA to get concessions from mainline while whipsawing a ghost regional against Mesaba and PCL for lower rates. It was/is a win-win for NWA management. I wouldn't necessarily say it's another Go-Jets since it's not an end-around run to get by a union contract, but it's a turkey of an airline with the blessing of mainline NWA crews that hope they'll never have to fly as a part of.

Compass needs to happen as it would suck so bad, it would make the other carriers look better! The industry needs more suckitude! Sorry, bad joke in reference to another thread!

what i dont understand about it is...theyre claiming theyre gonna use furloughed mailine guys as captains, but none of them with any common sense are gonna take a gig like that, and NWA is already well into theyre furlough list with callbacks...makes no sense...if in fact its real, how do they plan on staffing the airline? ps thanks for all the info guys...i have no intention of applying, im just curious

I think that Compass is a good oppertunity to build some quality turbine time with a quick upgrade and neat equipment. And who cares if it screws the Mesaba, Pinnacle or even the Northwest mainline guys! If they don't want the work, then they don't deserve it. What we need to do is get over ourselves and realize that we all just want to fly cool airplanes and be paid a wage that the company decides is fair for us. (No #### I had that conversation with a guy once, I almost broke his jaw) |

JH might talk a mean game, but he does respect laws like "assualt" in person. Besides, a person like that wouldn't just stop at pressing charges. They'd sue him for all he had. Which, is like, uh....nothing.

I wouldn't mind having Ikea here. All we have is overpriced furinture stores like The Great American Home Store and Ashley Furniture around here. I'd prefer something OTHER than Wal-Mart furniture.
