What is generally thought of as having a "sterile cockpit"? Does it specifically say that cameras aren't allowed? Interesting, though...there are tons and tons of photos on airliners.net taken from inside the cockpit -- photos of inside, photos of outside, etc. Nobody there seems to be cowering in their boots that the FAA is gonna jump in and violate them, and they openly post their names to the photos they post. As an aside, in the USAF fighter community it's also against the regs to have a camera in the cockpit. And, because of that, you never see photos taken from inside a fighter cockpit

Taken from the comments section on the website: starman963 (1 month ago) Taking videos in critical phases of flight is unsafe and a violation of FAR part 121. I will never fly skywest again. I am sending a copy of this to the FAA. |

looks like in critical phases of flight the camera is just lodged up on the dash near the window...i dont see how that could be really distracting but...whatever.

Are international laws different? I stumbled on this website a long time ago www.a340.net it has a lot of cockpit mini movies. It doesnt say the airline but Im guessing its Luftansa.

Any chances of someone sending the link to me?

| Agent Smith | At the request of the author and considering the situation revolving around people trying to actively rat him out to the FAA and potentially effecting his employment, I can't in good conscious have that link on my website. I'm sorry bro, I'm as "free speech" as the next guy, but his liability is perilously high and he's been a high value to the community here (and many folks he helped get their first job at an airline) and I'm respecting his wishes.
