Default Getting an airline job

Do you all think its bad to not have a ton of dual given (100 hours) out of 1000 when applying to the airlines?

Depends on how you've built your time. I know a few guys with splits like that; they either flew on their own a lot and are career changes, or they did something like banner tow or imaging and they didn't have much time to instruct.

If they all wanted dual given to consist of 90% of your TT, that'd be a problem. Fortunately it just so happens alot of pilots build their time that way and that's it. That's one of the few jobs you can have that involves you not always actually flying and have little other experience and still get hired. I figure, the airlines would rather see other quality flight time if it was available, like 300 actual instrument and 300 night for example.

Btw, I have 1400 TT and only 200 dual given. It hasn't been a problem for me yet. Well, let's just say it hasn't come up in any interviews.

I don't see why, you own your own plane. That should be their first clue.

Getting rid of it actually. Know anyone who wants a PA-28-201T?
