Ummm, yeah....I just got power back today after 9 days without it!! I can post pics if you want, but it was crazy. Lightning, thunder, rain, hail, sleet, and then wet wet snow. When all was said and done we had over 2.5 feet of it. The night was eerie because it was silent (no power), dark and then....crack...crack...CRACK....BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM !!!!!!!!, limbs were falling and trees were spit right down the middle. The trees look like a daisy cutter was unleashed in the area. Almost half a million people without power for days and as of tonight there are still about 50,000 still in the dark. Never been through anything like that in my life...well, it is nice to be able to flick a switch and get light. Oh yeah, the heat is nice also.

I've seen 152's do that but never a DC9. Those are some crazy pics.

Wow great pics! I remember from the CFI'ing days of brusing the heavy, wet snow off the planes before it caused a problem. Part of me misses that for some reason

that storm was jacked up! one minute its a nice fall day, next minute there is two feet of snow outside and a DC9 tries to rotate at the ramp. i described the storm as someone running up from behind you, punching you in the nuts and then dissapearing. what a mess, still 20,000 people without power...down from close to 400,000.
