Default Salaries

We all know about airlinepilotcentral.com, which gives us the hourly pay rates for the airlines. However, more goes into pay than just multiplying the hourly pay rate by the minimum guarantee, to arrive at a salary. I find pilots in most cases, make more than that.

For those who do not mind doing so, so we can all get an idea of salaries that my be expected at various airlines; can you post the typical salary seen at your airline, by providing the following;

1) Airline ( you don't have to give this info. if you do not wish. If not, at least say if it is a regional, or major)
2) 2-3 year FO pay salary - typical
3) 5-6 year CA pay salary - typical

Also, if you can provide what a typical line is (ex: 85hrs), and what they typically credit, etc.

Again, just trying to get some idea of actual salary vs. just 'X' per hour.

-Thanks

Chris:

It varies from airline to airline. When I was for Shuttle America I seldom broke guarantee. If I did it was only by about 5 hours. The only other pay that could be considered would be 300 - 500 per month for per diem.

At my current job we almost never break our 50 hour guarantee. I have averaged 15 hours a month for the last 10 months.The most I have ever flown in the last year was about 25 hours...

I know Colgan guys routine get paid for 95 -110 hour per month.

Never plan on or live on more than guarantee. If you are over it one month great, but don't start expecting it. It will only lead to problems when you stop getting overtime.

Okay, how I missed it in the first sentence. . . I don't know. You win. Nevertheless................................

There are far too many variables that go into one's salary. None of them are going to be constant besides hourly rate and min guarantee. Plan for that, bottom line. Nothing more.

To the original poster, wheelsup posted a very detailed pay from his first year, as well as a prognosis of what he expects to make with second and third year pay. I'd search the forum, or check the pro pilot's forum for it.
