| http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1125416/L/ Anyone know anything about this? Looks like he is climbing and the aileron is missing as a tire is falling away from the aircraft. Photo looks real, I don't see any evidence of cloning or anything in photoshop. So, uhh what, you just use the rudder to steer and hope you don't get any asymetrical roll with that aileron being missing and screwing with the lift? |

Hmmmm, so shouldnt the yoke have a big placard on it saying "inop". You would think there would be a rule against flying with a missing aileron. I guess as long as you have your tomotoflames you are set though? |

I saw this guy at the Reno Air Races. Hilarious performance, it's a comedy show, and his announcer sells it well. The announcer introduces the act, and then... Who's that guy getting in the airplane! he's not a pilot! somebody stop him! The "pilot" chases after the airplane until it finally gets airborne and the act goes on from there. He actually drags the wingtip (yes there's a skid plate) while riding on one main, and that makes the aileron and tire "fall" off as you see in the picture. Great flying. The show ends with him coming right at the fence with the tail in the air,(riding the bakes and throttle) stopping in the nick of time. Naturally, he jumps out and kisses the ground. Of course I can't remember his name... |

Bill, dammit, you can't post without your hat on! Where's your hat? Medallion fliers love the hat.

Kent Pietsch ![]() GREAT PILOT!! If the airplane is classified as experimental they get away with a lot - Patty Wagstaff had a shopping cart wheel as her tail wheel for a long time. |

So how many airplanes has this comedy gig crashed or was this their first gig? Just seems dangerous the way you guys describe it... Fun to watch I'm sure, but at the same time, I feel like I know what is bound to happen. |

This guy is from Minot, ND. Both him and his brother Warren are airshow pilots. Great guys who definitely know how to fly. |
