Alright, time for me to get one of those. That will be my favorite pastime from now on.
Any links directing me to such diversions?
I'm really interested now
I can use it to bother my roommate as he sleeps

You can buy it here.... http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...tId=2431387&cp

And read about it here. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=561523

Unfortunately, that forum requires registration in order to view, but it only takes a minute or two.

The rest of the months beer money?!?!!? What the hell kinda beer you drinkin', Mike? PBR?

That's a pretty sweet chopper, looks like fun. I almost bought an RC airplane at Wal-Mart a couple of weeks ago that had wheels on it unlike the other cheap ones, but I chickened out figuring I would bury it in the ground within 5 minutes.

Those should be made illegal and banned because they might poke someone's eye out, much like GA Aircraft should be banned from flying near large cities because they might carry bombs.

I got one tonight. Amazing for only $35.

It was a little uncontrollable right out of the box, then I added some weight to the front, making it a little better. After I added some tape (read about the 'scoop' mod on a rc forum) it became a whole whole whole lot of fun. It is very stable and you can put it about anywhere you want. Thanks for the info.

I just bought one at Radio Shack. Let me say that I've wasted about 2 hours of my time playing with this thing. It's sooooo much fun!!! I found out the if you use a thumbtack on the very front of the helicopter you can get the thing to fly pretty fast (not only vertically). I've been having fun chasing around the cats! One of the cats (Louis) is scared as hell from it....but the other cat Charlie keeps coming up to it curious to see what it is.

Also... AngelFuree's helicopter was not generating enough lift because the gears/motor seemed to be pretty stiff. We lubed up the gears with bike grease spray and it fixed the problem. On my helicopter, the tail rotor wouldn't turn. It just took a tiny squirt of the grease to get it going. Amazing... highly maneuverable for such a tiny r/c helicopter.

I bought one too. It worked well initially but then didn't lift so I added some wax lube for bicycles and it works excellent now. It has been distracting me from my hw too. I like it. Thanks for letting us know about it.

I have heard that Toys R Us and Wally World has them, but I haven't seen them at any near me. Also, I believe you can order them from Radio Shack online with free shipping.

Try here.

I have had great luck with the tape scoop mod. When I added a pushpin the thing rocketed away until finding a wall. Just too much forward speed on mine with the pushpin. For the money you can't beat the amount of fun this thing will give you.

Maybe at next years NJC we can have a combat competition.

Wally World and Toys R Us didn't have them in Dallas, and I only found one Radio Shack that had one - it was their demo unit - and it was pretty darn beat up.

However, if you go to Radio Shack, they will order it for you, directly, and drop ship it to your door for free - but you have to go into the store. The guy at Radio Shack was telling me that these things are very hot toys this year, so I bought two. One for me, and one, potentially, as a gift for someone. I probably should have bought one each for my nephews, but I didn't have the money. Maybe a little later.

I was going to buy one for my Dad for Christmas, but he already bought one! Looks like I'll get my brother one instead.
