Not sure if this has every been posted did a search and did not find anything. I was reading about ExpressJet on Wikipedia and found this information. Just wondering if anyone has heard about this. "ExpressJet has not announced where or for whom they will fly the aircraft, but they are in talks with European airlines to operate as a capacity-purchase feeder." http://expressjeteurope.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continental_Express |

I was under the impression (at least earlier this year) that this was one of the things XJT management was looking at to place the 69 jets. Downside is, that if it were, US pilots would have a hard time getting the jobs....

that site pre-dates continentals announcements about the CPA, so in other words, its ooooooooooooooooooold news. Someone in europe wants to do a CPA style agreement for feed and expressjet is profiding consultation on how to word/create the contract and get a deal. In other news, 25 planes are going to mexico, not europe. |

| I can't find a press release...any source? Who will be flying the planes - XJT pilots or is your company subleasing them to another carrier a la how CAL subleases them to you?

25 LR's going to Mexico is not official yet, just a strong rumor. We would not be able to fly them, they would be leased to Aviacsa and Aviacsa would be responsible for the staffing. It all seems a bit rediculous... Wells Fargo Leases the planes to Continental... Continental Leases the planes to Expressjet.... Expressjet Leases the planes to Aviacsa.... So much for the "eliminate the middle man" theory. |

Bottom line is it's ALL rumot until some flying actually happens with those planes. There are plenty of people downright CONVINCED we're getting the 36 CRJ900s here. I won't buy it until I see "Operated by Pinnacle Airlines" on the side of the plane.
