| ...in January!!! According to our intra-company e-mail, the recalls will begin in January and will average "about 10 per month". (zmiller - there's the "big announcement" we've been talking about ).As always, I'll believe it when I see it. R2F

| Finally! How many total?

| I don't know the exact total, but I've been told that there are over 400 flowbacks at Eagle right now. Figure that about 1 in 4 to 6 will decline, so the total going back will change. Hell, I just want to hold a line!!!

| Moderator | Good news for me? The DL guys are getting their 50% paycuts back?! Sweet! Seriously, I couldn't accept recall now if a letter arrived tomorrow! There's no way. I haven't applied to United, Continental and all the others out there that are hiring because I know at this time there's no way I could go back to flying full time. My career is over. I've accepted that. What's in my future? Who knows, I'll find out when I get there ![]()

I could see this being a problem after they call EVERY flowback at eagle, but it seems like this might take a while? 400/10 = 3+ years. I suppose what would make a difference is that there are more fuloughed guys and gals on the street vs. at eagle. They can be recalling 10 pilots a month but if none of them are at eagle it's a moot point. It looks like a good time to be going to eagle, at least there will be some movement in the upper ranks!!

| Wheelsup: The 10 per month (approximate) is what was mentioned in the e-mail. I'm sure it'll be more. I've heard some flowbacks say the recall classes are already configured to hold up to 40+ pilots. Frankly, I don't know how it works, nor do I really care. All I know is that the flowbacks have been here for 5 years blocking any hopes of upgrade for anyone. Period. This presents the opportunity for some (hopefully most) of them to go back. Like I said - All I want to do is hold a line. So, if 10 guys leave by March, I'm golden.

| well 400 flowbacks aren't the 400 most senior furloughed from AA. So we won't be losing 10 flowbacks per month. I hope Eagle or whoever, will force the flowbacks to go to AA as soon as they can. The flowbacks have caused a lot of people what should be there upgrades. Eagle gave them a place to work for 5+ years so i hope they go back to AA. there a couple of problems that are going have to be worked out: flowbacks wanting to stay at eagle. some guys are close to retirement why would they want to go to AA for a few months/years. will AA honor the flowthroughs. probably not. and with eagle so short staffed, how are they going to attract new hires. and stan did you see the vacancy announcement. NO CAPTAIN UPGRADES. they announce AA is recalling and yet no captain upgrades. LETS GO METS Adam |

| also someone mentioned on eaglelounge, that maybe the reason for only announcing 10/month is that the flowbacks don't get the idea hey lets quit eagle so i can have christmas and new years off and then go to AA, being if AA announced they were recalling 40 or 50 per month. makes sense will just have to see. |

| Congratulations, guys! I was thinking that would be coming soon. I hope it gets the flowbacks out pretty quickly and has a rapid effect on your QOL. |

| Old Skool | I couldn't see why any of the flow backs would decline a recall, even if they thought it was temporary. Isn't that a good thing? Someone who didn't flow back and is on the street or somewhere else, they I can see declining. I wonder if call backs will bottleneck training at Eagle or is 10 per month training related?

Llyod, what's your beef with me? Stan made mention of wishing he had good news for me, referring to the recall of AA F/As. I replied with a tounge in cheek remark about good news for me would be getting the % of paycuts the DL pilots have taken returned. To state that we've lost 1/2 our income, and lost our house is not being bitter or "hating the industry", it's stating two FACTS of what has happened. What has happened is what has happened, now we move on and move towards the future with the new payrate in our new house! I know there will be no recall for me, and I have accepted that! That is not hating the industry, or not "being happy". This industry has thrown some wicked curve balls at me, and I've dealt with them as best I can. I think I've done pretty well overall. As for the future, like I said who knows what it will bring for me. I've considered Riddle's distance degree program in aviation management, and getting into the managment side of GA. Maybe running an aiport someday. We'll see.

| Old Skool | Flowbacks/J4Js etc are strange animals. I'm not sure how the Eagle contract is worded but the one we have with JJs states only that they may turn down recall/flowup as long as somebody junior to them is still on furlough. Also, they can turn down the right seat of the 190 forever. The problem here is that their quality of life is about the same whether they are sitting reserve on the CRJ in Charlotte or the 319 in LGA. Also, here they are a captain. Also, if they go back to the left seat of the 190 they actually will still make about the same here in the RJ AND probably won't be sitting reserve as they have slotted bidding. It really sucks for us here but so far of the 5 that have been recalled none have taken it. |
