Default ASA takes out full page AD in SKYW Hometown

Don't know if this belongs in this forum or not but.

ASA pilots union placed a nice well done AD in the local paper here in St. George.
Four key points was
1. Frozen wages while profits soar.
2. Four years of contract negotionating
3. Mgmt stalling in talks
4. New hires only make $19,000 first year.

Go ASA. This is a good start but not sure the general public cares. It's time to get a new fair contract or burn the place down. It's beyond ridiculous over there.

They ran that same ad here in SLC.

The thing about that ad in SGU is that SGU loves SkyWest. There is NO way that ad will have any positive effect on the people of SGU. I think it is mildly effective here in SLC. But this state drinks the kool-aid. It is going to hard to gain support locally.

Yes people here think SkyWest is the golden child. People ask all the time when and if Im going to work there. I explain the first year pay they pretty much gasp and respond by saying how do you support a family on that pay.

Well I looked for a copy of the AD and didn't find any. Its a very large AD if you want I can basicly type up all the info. I did find this on another article. I either missed it in the paper or it was buried where I didn't see it here is the link...

From the T.V. station's article:

"Four years ago Skywest purchased ASA from Delta, and pilots say a significant portion of their contracts from that acquisition have not been negotiated."

Man these journalists suck... It was not four years ago. That time frame makes a difference too.
