Default Wadin' over troubled waters no more

PARIS - Airbus chief executive Christian Streiff resigned Monday after a little more than three months as head of the troubled European plane maker and parent company EADS named one of its own co-CEOs to replace him.

IMHO, Airbus sucks if the best they can do is a revamped 737.

Well the A320 was kinda revolutionary at the time of is introduction as the worlds first FBW commercial aircraft. The A310 is old, really old in fact the don't even make it any longer. It an aircraft on par with the B-767. The A310 is a derivative of the A300 which production lines are just now being shut down in France. UPS is getting the last few examples of said aircraft.

I saw an Airbus A300 put down in Burbank the other day on a 5,800' runway. I think the guy put his mains on the numbers on that one. Needless to say I was impressed.

I didn't see it and I'm still impressed. I thought that no "heavies" would be allowed into KBUR because of the short runways...Wonder why it didn't go to KLAX?

Makes sense. So wonder why no "heavies" into MDW? I believe that have the same sized runways!
