| Re: Pilot gear? There are plenty of good sites out there depending on what you are looking for in terms of gear. I find that Sporty's is always a good choice and a site called Mypilotstore.com are two of the best. They both offer a variety of choices and I haven't had a problem with either of them. Try and stay away from skysupplyusa.com. I have had nothing but problems with them from my order a few months ago and I am still waiting on part of my order that has been "out of stock" for 2 months now. (Didn't know it took 2 months to get a sectional and flashlight, eventually had to buy from a different site.) |

| Re: Pilot gear? There are a lot of good ones out there, the ones that I like are: Marvgolden, avshop, mypilotstore, sportys...
A hint though, if you are looking for an item that several places have at about the same price. Chose the shop that is closest to you. For instance, when I need something quickly and I'm took cheap to pay for overnight shipping or when I'm spoiled and don't want to wait a few days, I can usually just call marvgolden located in San Diego. If they have the item and ship it today, it'll be in my mailbox near Los Angeles by 3pm (or so w/USPS) tomorrow.
Also, if your FBO sells charts etc but usually dosen't have the ones you need when you come in, consider a chart subscription. In many cases they are around the same price as getting them from your local FBO, but instead of worring wheter your FBO will have the LA Sec and Instrument procedures for socal, you'll have them at your house a few days ahead of the beginning of their effective period.
