Hardest Rating/License

I guess I must've got lucky because I found the initial CFI to be the 2nd easiest, after the Private.

It was definately the hardest to prepare for, but the actual test wasn't too bad. I didn't have to fly that much - the examiner did most of that while I was teaching/critiquing.

In order of difficulty, starting from the easiest, I would say for me it was:
Private, CFI, Commercial, Instrument

Bottom line: It all depends on the day, and who your examiner is.

All I can say is that as you move up the ladder in ratings the expectations are cranked up a little more each time. Based on the amount of preparation I am having to do. The CFI Initial is the one I am preparing for the most, and also the one causing me the most insomnia.
