| Re: Plane down in Atlanta Very sad indeed.
And why does the news always make such a big deal about no flightplan being filed? They make it sound as if the absence of a flight plan was a direct cause of the crash. |

It's always painful to hear of these aviation tragedies.

| Re: Plane down in Atlanta Why is it that cessna size aircraft sustain more crashes than the heavies. Are cessna's not safe, or very inconsistent.

Who flies heavies predominantly? That's not really a legitimate question for numerous factors...from experience, from recency of experience, from maintenance of the plane...and so on..

| Re: Plane down in Atlanta I know it's wrong to speculate in an accident, but Berry Hill is a difficult field to get in and out of, with very tall trees on both ends of the runway. An aircraft loaded down with 4 people is going to have difficulty making it out of there regardless of the power output. |

If they were at gross weight or over then thats a tough takeoff.

| Re: Plane down in Atlanta I'm still trying to figure out why there is no prop damage. . . how many weeks does it usually take for the NTSB database to update? 2 - 3?
