What does Utah Valley cost compared to Embry Riddle. I am trying to decide between the two. --> Cost for online, not attending campus.

-Thanks.
For the most part I have found the online classes to be pretty well structured, the only real difficulty is yourself. I have days when I just dont want to do it. I think a lot of the classes, especially the early ones were way too easy to fill up an entire semester in a class room. I am told that UVSC is a bit less than ERAU. I have taken 15-18 credits every semester and have not felt overloaded, though I have been fortunate enough to be able to do a lot of homework at work. THis semester for example, I am almost finished with 15 credits this semester in only about a month and a half. Challenging for credits for the ratings you already have is pretty easy, just fax a copy of your certificate and written test report and you get the credits, but that doesnt effect your GPA. If you are still pursuing ratings, then do not register for them unless you are certain to finish by the end of the semester because while you will get an incomplete for the flight portion, you will get a fail for the ground portion and that sticks on your transcript. EDIT: that fail is if you do not complete the written test.

What ratings, specifically, will they give you credits for? If you complete 15 credits, in a month and a half, can you immediately start on more credits, or do you have to wait for the next semester? Do they have "semesters", the same way attending the actual campus does? Also, do they allow you to take classes during the summer?

I have credits from attending college, I want to transfer, plus ratings, so I am just trying to figure out the fastest way to get it all completed.

All FAA ratings and licenses recieve credit as far as i know, Private, instrument, commercial, multi, CFI, CFII, MEI, turbine, ATP are the ones that I know for certain recieve credit. I believe that I can add classes at this point, but I am not sure of the process, talking with the coulselors no doubt, Gloria Schnieder specifically has been a huge help to me. The semesters are on a standard fall spring summer schedule fall starts at the end of august, spring in january, and summer in may. As to transferring credits I believe the criteria is that is must be a C grade or better to transfer.
