Default RyanAir CA Collapses in Flight

I heard it on a podcast but cant find anything else on it. CA Collapsed at the controls. It was due to food poisoning, but something his family also came down with, so not airline food. FO safely brought the plane down...

Wonder how many hours the FO had?

Thank goodness no incident.

Umm...it shouldn't matter how many hours the FO had. We are all trained well and fly/talk/plan etc everyday.

(I am pretty sure you know this, just the tone of the post made think this way)

If you were 15 mintues from your destination why would one turn the aircraft around and go back. Seem like that would delay medical attention even longer for the CAPT.

Unlike in the movie "Airplane", none of the passengers on the aircraft were asked to come up to the cockpit to help with the landing.
