It's not so much Texas, it's Texans. For evidence I point to Raggio. There a few exceptions to this rule like you, Brad, Melissa and whoever else is on the instructing staff.

Did you ask for a DFW Transition? Usually they're pretty nice about letting you go right over DFW at 3500+ (at least the last few times I have).

I don't know the name of the place. I do know that it's owned and operated by a church. I hear that the old ladies that run the place can be pretty "motherly".
