|  Where Intl Students Take Training?
ANYBODY KNOW WHAT ARE THE FAVORITE FLIGHT ACADEMIES THE INTL STUDENTS GO TO? DO THEY GO JUST TO FLORIDA AND CALIFORNIA? IS IT TRUE SOME FLIGHT ACADEMIES HIRE CFIs EVEN IF THEY DO NOT TAKE TRAINING THERE? THANKS. |

We have quite a few intl students at our school. (sierra academy) Probably around 120. They have come in large groups (contract training), small groups (3-5) and even on their own. They come from China, India, South America, Germany and the UK. I am sure there are other schools/states other than FL and CA that train intl students. Yes some schools hire offsite CFIs but it is more difficult and you really have to prove to them that you are of sufficient caliber for their school. A lot of it probably depends on the supply and demand at the time and whether they are a mom and pop school or an academy type. | |
