Fellow JC'ers, I'm moving and I'd like to continue, more like start, my Instrument/Commercial training. With that, I'm facing the daunting task of finding a new flight school. I'm curious, and I'm sure other folks are as well, about what do you really look for in a new flight school. With all you CFIs and students out there, what do you consider when choosing a new flight school? If you're wondering specifics, no accelerated training, no "pilot mill", just a good ole mom and pop FBO. Thanks!

Where are you moving to? I'd definitely take some time and visit all the local FBOs/flight schools and check them out. Look at their their training fleet and facilities. Talk to current students and instructors and ask lot's of questions! Good Luck!

I look at a balance between cost and quality. It really depends on what area you end up in, how many schools are around, and how far you feel like driving.

Yes, do all your research, and then go to Skymates.
