i asked this question before but i didn't get much feedback. i currently am a cfi but i'd like to get the written done before i start applying anywhere. if i were to interview for a regional should i have the 121 done? or is the 135 test sufficient? i've heard stories supporting both ways. suggestionsss? if i can stay away from the boeing systems and performance questions then i'd much rather do that of course. |

Why learn both? Seems to me that you take the one that you are planning on working with. If you are going to be a charter pilot, then 135, if you plan to fly for an airline, 121.

what if you are not sure which way you will go? Does it really matter which one you do? If I take the 135 test and then go to a regional interview will it make a difference?

Doesnt make a difference, but i agree with learn in the direction you're going. That way you dont have to flush stuff that you dont need to know, and you wont be getting things confused down the road.

I would just take the 121 test, but you still may get a 135 performance question or two anyways. Make sure you know both performance sections.
