Walter A. Forred, M.D. is a FAA designated Senior Aviation Medical Examiner.

He has a long history of interest in aviation, holding a commercial pilot's
license and having served as a Flight Surgeon in the United States Army. His
aviation passion is flying tail-draggers. Dr. Forred is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

He has over 35 years experience as a military Flight Surgeon and FAA designated Senior Aviation Medical Examiner, rural Family Physician, Geriatrician, medical school Professor and medical educator. His focus of practice is the health and welfare of professional pilots.

I got to thinking, yes it's rare, but what is the difference between the new forum and the aeromedical forum?
