hey everyone! i was just wondering if any other fellow pilots would be willing to send me your old sectionals when you are done with them. rather then throw them away, i would like to get a copy of all of them and put them up on my wall... yes i have a big wall... if you would be willing to pay the 37cents to send it to me. i wouldnt mind paying you back, but i think the trouble of me sending you postage money would be more of a hassle. whats 37 cents? anyways, my address is (deleted by Doug Taylor) . thanks a lot!!! i hope to get postive people to help me out!!! aviatorrbt Last edited by Doug Taylor; August 14th, 2006 at 14:45. Reason: I'd suggest making contact with someone privately and then exchanging address information thru email or private message. The Google/Yahoo bots hit the site daily. |

You might want to remove your address from a public message board. You would be amazed at what you can find out about someone through a simple free public records search (DL numbers, signatures on mortages, etc) from a single address. Better to PM someone who responds. |

It's a sad world we live in. Unfortunately, nothing is sacred anymore and there are soooo many people out there that will be happy to make your life miserable by stealling your identity. |

Think it's bad to get Viagra ads in your e-mail, think about what would happen if those same people got your snail mail address.... A lot of FBOs will let you have the expired sectionals. A few enterprising ones hang on to them and sell them come Xmas time as "aviation wrapping paper...."

I have some pre-VOR "Regional Aeronautical Charts" of the same area from 1944. The variation now is 5 degrees west....these older charts show 2 degrees east. They were put out by the Dept of Commerce, with a disclaimer stating that "due to war conditions, lights, radio facilities and other aids to air navigation may be changed or discontinued without notice". At the time, Florida was an Active Air Defense Zone and MCO was called Pinecastle Army Airfield. I have some other charts from the same decade from all over the world. Got them off ebay as a package for around 5 bucks plus shipping.

I use my old sectional/WAC/JNC/ONC/JOG charts as gift wrapping paper for any occasion. Works and is unique.

| John oh how I remember those when flying the redtails around and waiting to reach Kirkman road to make the climb when flying west due to class B.....Now that I looked again those charts are very old...MCO only has the one north/south runway
