Grew up around gliders, my Dad was an instructor on them for years. Was great growing up around tugplanes and gliders... old gravel runways and 80's memories... strange what you remember about certain things in life.
My Uncle owned aircraft and was an instructor, taught me to fly!
My Brother has his Com/IFR... quit flying for accounting, smart fella!

My brother was a private pilot. Did it for the pure enjoyment and the fact that he had it in his blood I guess.
He is a professional fisherman. After the accident he helped pass a law in CA to allow other divers to dive under license of a disabled diver or something to that extent. So, he is like Lt. Dan and has divers/fisherman (for lack of proper terminology) who work under his license.
He handed down his ancient DC headset to me. It stopped working so well after a while.
I do wish he was able to hold onto his airplane but the same could be said of my father.
