Default Radio Operators License

Everyone wants an FCC radio license. What do I have to do to obtain it and where?

Are you trying to say that everyone is requiring an FCC Radio License? Cause if you're referring to pilots, I haven't met an eager pilot out there who just can't wait to get an FCC radio license.

Anyway, you go fcc.gov and fill out the proper forms. I think it cost around $55. First you get an FRN number and then pay our nice government their well-earned money.... try using the search feature on this website, you'll find other post with more info...

So the only difference between a pilot who can make international flights and one who can't is they paid 55 bucks the the FCC?

So is there any way to get hired by a regional and then have them pay for it after you get hired?

Or is that something they require you to have before you get hired?

Pay for it now. It's $55, and no regional is going to pay for it for you.

Pay for it now, when working for a regional that $55 may be the difference between eating and not.
