Or so that is what I have been told. Jet Univ is now saying they have made agreements with Pinnacle to do CRJ200 training with a 3 month training schedule and then HAVE a job as FO. Airline is paying some of the training ($5K of $32K) and they say making more then $20/hr after training. I have the new brochure, PM me with email and I can email it to you if you want. |

It seems to be true. http://www.jetuniversity.com/applica...egory&id_ctg=1 Looks like you pay for a 675 hour "intership" as an F/O at Pinnacle. Makes sense that Pinnacle would allow this as they have been a big supporter of Gulfstream in the past and seem to have a hard time keeping F/O's on the property. This program could be the end of Gulfstream. I mean, why buy an F/O job flying silly little turboprops when you could do it in a 50 pax jet. Pinnacle guys? What do make of this? |

Aw... I thought 9E was done with this sort of crap. Side note: Is CAT done then? Does that mean that all the guys that spent 30K on a FE rating with the promise of an upgrade are screwed? I have some students that went there despite my best efforts. Sort of sucks for them. |

I think its a load of ##### and I dont even work at PCL. What a slam to the industry. I have said pilots need to take their worth back. THIS IS NOT HOW TO DO IT! Pilots are six figure professionals. This is awful.

I think that these programs are going to be the only way to the airlines as fuel costs rise. Until the global depression hits!

| http://www.jetuniversity.com/aboutus.php Check out the CRJ on the right. I wonder if the walk around was done by a JetU student? They could have at least photoshopped a plane that didnt have engine covers and pitot covers on it. |

I wondered why they were looking for people to teach in RJ's...thought it was odd when I saw it. Now it makes sense: Quote:

Personally, I think it's a load of crap. Talk from some of the check airman, and they aren't too happy either. I'm already tired of being lumped in with GIA as it is, now I gotta deal with this, too. There are WAY too many qualified applicants out there for us to be stooping to this. The problem is, a lot of those qualified applicants don't want to work for $21/hr and only a $3/hr raise the second year. HOPEFULLY, we can wake the company the F up and get them to realize the reason so many FOs are bailing (thus costing them oney training replacements) is b/c of the low pay.

Is there any relation between a current advertiser and: Quote:
One other question....I looked all over the site and did not see the 9E name mentioned. Are the only ones in the U.S flying the CRJ-200 under 121?

Wait a minute, this isn't a permanent thing though for the F/Os, right? I mean it seems they get 675 hours flying the line, then it's the end of their "internship" , and they're shown the door? How're the temporary interns gonna fit into the seniority list ? Unless I'm mistaken, and these students are actually hired permanently as full time Pinnacle pilot employees. Seems like a real can of worms brewing up ! And yeah, I think Heath Cohen used to be at Gulfstream Training Academy. |

Custom Air Transport. They fly Boeing 727s. But they're pretty much furloughing everyone: http://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/a...transport.html |

When I got off the plane I was waiting around for my connecting flight and when the flight crews got of the planes two or three crews met up right there and got obnoxiously loud bragging about the cities they were flying to that day. High fives all around because they had all flown into the same city that day and saw the same cloud over Indiana. It just seemed to come across as being very unprofessional with all the other pax in the area by the gate watching them in their little pep rally. It reminded me of a bunch of highschool kids that were traveling on their parents buddy passes during summer vacation. I just know some of the pax were wondering if these kids were really pilots and if they had ever been to these cities before that day. In fact, for a while I was wondering that. | |
