I'd personally say go with the King material. I thought it was great aside from the weird sexual tension between Martha and I.

No but really. Its good stuff.

Neither. Just like everything else in the training world they cost to much. Gleim for the written and the good old FAA Instrument Flying Handbook along with the AIM for the real book knowledge. Save your money.

Spooky.

I used King Videos and 3½" floppy disks (pre-CD and DVD era) for the FE and ATP writtens. Corny? Yes. On subject and helpful? Yes. I considered it money well spent.

King is more boring, but if you can stay awake is probably the better of the two, they are better at explaining the trick questions the FAA has and you review a lot of the FAA questions. Sporty's is more entertaining, but IMO you wont do as well on the written

I've used the King DVD's for my PPL and for Instrument writtens--scored 98 on both. I've already purchased the commercial and CFI/FOI DVD's, so I'll be using them later. Yes, they are a lil' corny, but the information is presented in simple/basic terms and you will do well on your written exams. Just my take....I haven't used the Sporty's.
