local FBO's

I was doing a search looking for local FBOs in my area. Funny thing is there are at least 4 schools that are within a 40 mile radius but only 2 have a website. And I can't even find the phone number for one of the schools. It's just weird. Why would you not build a website for an FBO? It puzzles me so much when people depend so much on the internet. I google the flight school and all I get is the airnav information about the airport.

Is it a small, one plane, mom 'n pop sort of a school? In a lot of cases like those, they don't have the time or are tech savvy enough to design a site, and they don't have the money to pay an outside designer.

Also, from a marketing perspective, it is oftentimes better to have no site at all rather than a poorly designed site.

Go visit the business in person and see what you think of them. That should give you a more accurate idea of what they're like anyway.

as a matter of fact that's exactly what i am about to do. first call them, talk about the rates etc. and go visit them. thanks. haha and yeah, one of the school has a really horrible website!
