Default Corporate Aviation on NBC News

NBC just did a story on corporate flying. They talked about how different Senators always fly private when they can fly commercial. They mentioned who usually flys on whos plane. Companys like G.E. perform "favors" by allowing them to fly on their jets. There was a lot of bashing but ohh well. It was very interesting.

I've flown a variety of people out of DC.

Sometimes they're very polite, other times, they're in the galley bugging the flight attendants with the "Uhh, ya know, I'm kind of a big deal".

My apartment smells of mahogany, and I have many large leather bound books.

I wanna say something. I'm gonna put it out there; if you like it, you can take it, if you don't, send it right back. I want to be on you.

Wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I... I wanna be on you.

By the beard of Zeus have I seen a lot of that kind of thing lately. It's not at all exclusive to bigger companies either.

I say, Let the Senators, Congressmen and women and all the others continue to use corporate jets. It keeps the biz jet business strong.

I disagree with Iain. What is good for the goose is good for the gander; if they're busy accepting rides on corporate jets, politicians aren't seeing how bad the passenger screening situation is for the rest of us. It's simply one more way they're out of touch with reality. Politicians should be REQUIRED to take public transit to work and their kids should be REQUIRED to attend public schools and serve in the military. I think you'd see a much different attitude in Washington if this were the case.

But NBC found two commercial flights that would have gotten him back to Washington in time for his dinner. A commercial U.S. Airways flight would have left Memphis at 12:30 p.m., bringing him into Dulles at 3:32 p.m. A Northwest Airlines flight would have departed Memphis at 2:17 p.m. and arrived at National Airport in Washington at 5:17 p.m.

LOL. well, after the delays........

nwa gets there at midnight twith cactus right behind him at 0100

meester burgundy... will you honor us by playing yazz flute.... yes yes play yazz flute

I'll be glad to not REQUIRE them to do anything if they stop thinking up new REQUIREMENTS for us.

I would add that their pay should be set at the minimum wage & that we take away their fat pensions & give them solely Social Security. Oh, and make them receive there health care at VA hospitals.
