|  Regarding regional pay, etc...
...it's been said a million times how little regionals pay, etc etc, airlines, etc... ...but it's just even worse when you're hearing it from a friend. A friend got hired at American Eagle earlier this year flying Saab 340s, and he was telling me how crappy it is for him to earn so little coming from a better paying job before that. His last paycheck was of $850 for 15 days of work, crappy. Before he was a CFI, he used to earn $40K a year at a desk job, but he really wanted to do the whole airline thing and got to the airlines reeeal fast. I'm gonna see if I could get him into writing some Perspectives article 'cause his route was interesting. He's definitely not complaining about his job, but he was telling me all about it, it's real cool to hear his side of it since I've known him since 2003, and in 2004 he only had his private. Anyways....kinda felt bored and felt like typing.... |
