It looks as if I will be moving to Denver in early August. Can anybody reccomend a good flight school in the area, and maybe even some decent Apartments? I would appreciate the help!

the short answer is McAir Aviation @ Jeffco Airport. Do a search, and you will see just how many people reccomend McAir. I think a couple of people on here are past and/or present instructors @ McAir. You'll love learning to fly. have fun. adios

I'm an instructor at McAir and it is a great place to fly. We have an incredible fleet which speaks for itself. Here is our website http://www.mcairaviation.com As far as apartments, there are tons, it depends which area you want to live. The price range is pretty broad. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. |

Cool looking place! What is the average rental rate around there anyways? I guess I should look for apartments in Broomfield!

I hear 172 steam goes for around 100. and the glass g1000 goes around 115. Instructor = just under 40. hr. 141 and 61 instruction. good instructors, tough interview process i hear. best in Colorado? yeah, probably. broomfield.... cheaper than boulder. hasta

Truthfully, while MacAir has an excellent reputation, if you are looking around, don't skip other places. There are other schools at Jeffco, Centennial, and Front Range. Both Aspen and Flights, Inc at Centennial are solid and tend to hire the folks they train as CFIs so long as there are spots available. Flights aircraft rental rates are among the lowest in the area.

Mark's right, take a look around for yourself. I am biased toward McAir (used to work there) as it is truly a fine establishment. I always recommend folks look around and decide for themselves though. But methinks there is a good chance you might end up @ McAir |
