| I am wondering if anyone has any information on potential job opportunities for pilots with color restrictions? (i.e. day time charter jobs, helicopter jobs, etc...)?? Thank-you to those who respond to this post. Your input is greatly appreciated. |

What's your story? Do you have a restricted medical now, or are you wondering about options if you get a restricted medical in the future? Have you looked into alternate color vision tests?

| Currently I have a restriction on my medical, and I do have clearance to take a light gun signal test, but that is a last resort option. Also, I'm currently calling around to see who offers alternate color tests, but I haven't found anyone as of yet. In all, I am just wondering about pilot opportunites as a "worst case" senerio in case I am stuck with this restriction permenatly. |

I doubt there is a single operator that will hire someone with a "day only" restriction on their certificate. I hate to say it, but you need to pass that light gun test if you intend on flying for a living. Even at that, you will have a "waiver" which some companies will not accept.
