I'm attending UVSC this year and the semester ends Friday. I should do well but I think that I need actually human interaction. Studying alone in your room and having to e-mail your professor to ask questions sucks. Think I might transfer to ERAU distance learning next year or after I'm done with Skymates and have all my ratings. Anyone have any suggestions for me?

hey max, just curious what you are majoring in with them? I am thinking about doing UVSC on-line while I instruct but if it's a pain in the arse then i may reconsider. I know I shouldn't get an aviation degree but it just makes it easier to transfer all my flight credits and go with that major and be half way done. So, i'm not sure what to do yet.

i'm also thinking about doing the uvsc thing, almost done with my 2 year degree at slcc. I know the aviation degree isn't the best idea but i'm sick of commuting to school. *and I just re-read it and you already attended uvsc, my bad matthew* |

Yea...originally I was gonna attend ATP but their prices are insane I think there between $44k-54k due to fuel when they were Skymates current prices ($32-35k) maybe only a year and a half ago.Talked to JH just this week about Andrew and I visiting Skymates for a "look see." If your avail you should come out when we have the dates finalized we will prolly have a M&G. My lease doesn't end until December so I will most likely be attending Jan 07.

I had to take some course through U.V.S.C. while I was on my internship and really enjoyed the classes and teachers I had! I only took 3 courses so my experience might not be relevant here!

| crud I was wondering why my hit counter went through the roof..(nothing like jetcareers of course but it's been getting mass hits today..)ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh mmmmmmmmmmmm... I can't remember her name but I think it was adriana lima.. I know it's kind of tacky but since i've been sick might as well goof around on the internet and work on my little web page. I pay for the webspace anyway. (plus that video posted a few days ago had a good song.. probably illegal with what I did..you like?) |

I am sorry, but I have to disagree. I am in the final year of my BS in Aviation Sciences at UVSC and have been very happy with their courses. I am a returning student, after being out of school for 20 years and found that all the courses, general education and aviation, to be equal to the year and a half of classes I had at Georgia Tech back in the early 80's. Currently I am completing the third year of my studies here, while maintaining a 3.7 GPA and working full time at a Youth Detention Center in Atlanta Georgia. I agree that on-line studies may not be for everyone, but for myself it has been the best opportunity for me to get were I wanted to go and I would not change a thing at UVSC. I will also agree that there are times that online can be a little aggravating, when grade are not posted or replies not sent to allow you to know that work was received, as was the problem this semester with two of my upper level courses, but two out of 24 ain't bad. Good luck and don't give up, it took me 20 years to have the chance to come back to school, and believe me, a college education is worth every minute you spend there in the real world. lol no.. just i've been dealing with a sickness since like october (the ER room thinks it's IBS..but i've been just dealing with nausea 24/7 everyday) and with so much time stuck at home I got a little creative with frontpage and my webpage. it's a little dorky I know. I just got nervous with 80+ hits in one day on my non-advertized' non-registered site so i wasn't sure who was looking at it (plus it's slightly illegal i'm sure with what I did.. photos music and all but then again the majority of myspace is also in that catagory *shrugs*)
