I just completed my training at AirNet and am looking to be with them in the St. Louis Area for about a month. It seems like it's pretty hard to find living arangements for that short of a time period. Anyone have any tips in general, or especially if you have anything specific to that area? I'll be in and out of KCPS it sounds like. Thanks

I'm sure you could find something real cheap and easy to back out of accross the river in East St. Louis.

C'mon, East St. Louis is real nice. Plus, you'd feel real safe there.

Having lived in STL my whole life I would strongly suggest not living anywhere in Illinois. STL is a great place and with highways all over you can get anywhere with in minutes. My suggestion is look for a place somehwere in the city, but not North or South St. Louis they're pretty rough. I would suggest an area called the Central West End its got some night life and it's right next to Forest Park which is a huge municipal park, largest in the U.S as a matter of fact. Plus you can just take the highway and be at CPS in 15 min tops. Anyway wherever you end up just enjoy the city. Good Luck!

That almost sums it up. You said not north or south...and not in illinios which is east...Go ahead and add west and you are 100% correct! Toujours Frais!

Thanks for the advice. I did find a crashpad that's available. It looks to be just southeast of lambert. Sound good or bad? I really don't think I have a lot of choice either way. the price is right. Thanks again.

I agree. There is no traffic so going through downtown is easy. It still amazes me. I work at CPS and live in U. City. If you are looking for a fast place to live, check out roommates.com. I have a friend that got a place to live without a lease in 4 days.

dpilot...are you SIC'ing out there? Doing 243? Welcome aboard...if you're doing 243, tell BJI hi from Joe. He seems to always have an SIC out there, and since you said about a month, I figured SIC time. Have fun out there. I've done a couple overnights there...good luck. TX |

So what is the deal with AirNet? I am thinking about sending a resume in once I move back to the CMH area and have the appropriate times. Do they just send you anywhere or would I have a pretty good chance of being based in CMH? The reason I am moving back to that area is to hopefully find a job that will require as little commute time as possible and provide as much time with my family as possible.
