Default Five IU Music Students Die in Plane Crash

http://cnn.netscape.cnn.com/news/sto...2125850980.htm

Sad.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - An Indiana University student was piloting a small plane through dense fog when the aircraft crashed, killing the four passengers and fellow classmates, officials said Friday.

The five graduate students in the university's school of music were returning from a rehearsal for a community concert in West Lafayette, about 90 miles north of campus, when the plane disappeared from radar about 11:40 p.m. Thursday.

Georgina H. Joshi, who had studied at the Royal College of Music in London and sung in Wales, piloted the single-engine Cessna.

Looks like they have been close to mins. If they were circling, it looks like below mins.

Sad Indeed. As is any crash with a loss of life.

How does one go about getting their info deleted from the Airmen Inquiry page? Is it just a simple email.

Unhappy

I saw them pile into the C206.

My friend and I had flown up to LAF for the evening in a Cherokee 6 and as we were tying it down a van pulls up on the tarmac and a group of students pile out.

They were about 20-30 feet away from our airplane. My friend swears he saw the girl get in on the right side, but I don't put much stock in what he saw. Again, I busy tying down the right wing so I can't verify it for sure.

I remember walking behind the aircraft thinking, "gee... that's a nice patroitic paint job" as it was painted with a flowing US flag across both sides of the fuselage.

I was also going to go over and say a quick "hello," but they had already buttoned up.

I can also remember thinking, "that's awfully late for someone to be departing LAF." Aside from that group and us, the airport was devoid of any activity.

It's also eerie to be the last person to see those 5 alive. My examiner for all my licenses, who is now with the FAA, is investigating the crash. I saw him on the news; he wasn't interviewed -- just a shot of investigators taking pictures. He was a former detective in a previous career so maybe that's why they tapped him?

I wonder what would have happened if I had taken the initiative and went over to the plane and said something about the weather. Probably wouldn't have a changed a thing... ah well.

You can't get your information deleted, it is public record....

What you can do is limit what you want the FAA to publish (ie, address). I believe it is a form they have, try searching faa.gov for privacy information.
