Default Air Force One Video

A buddy of mine just sent this to me. It is a video of a couple of guys sneaking into Andrews AFB and one of them managing to spray paint on Air Force One's engine. Its obviously fake but they did a pretty good job at making it look real. One had a camera with him when he got by the landing gear... makes you wonder how they got that shot off.

* The video is being hosted on a website that has advertisements that may not be safe for work. *

I think it's real...it even talks about "why i tagged airforce one" on www.stillfree.com

Man..if it's real, which it looks like...it's pretty scary someone was able to do this. Major security breach.

I doubt it happened if you look at the terms link on the stillfree.com, although it looks pretty real to me. Also, Bigey's right, if that did happen, then it would have been a huge security breech.

As for the adds, I don't think you really have to worry about those as it seems that every single video link on this board have adds like those surronding the video player. My question is, where are these girls in my area? I've never seen 'em and believe me, I'd remember if I did!

The video is fake if you look at the stillfree website carefully it has this disclamer.

"You, the viewer of the preceeding are hereby advised that the video does not depict a real event. It is intended for the sole, limited and express purpose of entertainment and to induce you, the viewer of the video, to think critically about freedom of expression and speech and the government's responses to the same."

Yhea, but if I tagged Air Force One, I'd put that exact same disclaimer on my website to keep myself out of jail and other misc. legal reasons.

The video shows all kinds of security around the aircraft, dogs, etc, but then they're able to jump the fence and run up to the plane... AND run back. I doubt it. There are links on stillfree.com to info on the plane that was used to film the movie Air Force One with Harrison Ford... Perhaps they were able to locate that aircraft after it was being used for filming?

Also:
http://www.snopes.com/photos/airplane/tagging.asp

and

http://www.flightglobal.com/Articles...rate+hoax.html

Both links are fresh webpages for today! I suspect this one is gonna go around the net quick!

Do you know the size of a 747 nacelle? There is no way that one person's arm could have done that bit of painting, especially with a can. Out of whack

I just looked up to random pictures of a 747 engine to show the true size of them. In the video, the guy sprays them real fast, and covers the entire engine. No way possible.

I don't want to turn this into an a.net'ish argument, but I suggest you look again, he doesn't cover the whole nacelle. From the 2nd link I posted:

Quote:
A couple of even keener readers wrote in to point out that the engines are the old type of General Electric GE CF6-50E as opposed to the latest GE CF6-80C that are on the VC-25As.
and regarding the one can of spray paint :

Quote:
The character thickness and uniformity is apparently impossible to achieve with one pass of conventional spray paint cans in the 15sec it does in the clip. More likely, the tag was created using an industrial marker can, which contains around 1litre (2USPints, 3.2USFl.oz) of paint.
I think based on what others are saying and the fact that there are links on stillfree.com to the plane in the movie, that they probably used that aircraft for this video.

Having seen a VC-25 up close and personal I can definately say that wasn't the "real" AF1.

Several modifications are plainly not present on the plane in that video, such as the foward airstairs, and several other items that I won't go into detail about.

The security around AF1 isn't foolproof by any means, but highly unlikely that any prankseter could pull that off. Again I won't go into details, but it's kinda hard to sneek across several hundred feet of concrete past several armed guards, and back without being caught.

It may have been a mockup or something. and it's a very well done video, but that's it.

Is is "fake, but accurate"...ala Dan Rather/CBS?

Or more like the GI Joe figure turned insurgent POW who was photographed a year ago as a captured US soldier?

Obviously Fake. No question. But good entertaining if you were drunk and watched it.

Fake, definately fake.
I watched the documentary they made about Air Force 1 on Geography channel. The security around that plane is so tight that there is no way you can get to it and then get back without getting caugth. NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look, its not fake its real!!!
As for the ads I covered right part of my screen with my hand and tried to focus as much as possible on the video and then after it was done I focused solely on the X button. Mission accomplished!

What I want to know is how that website got the area I lived in correct? I always try to be careful with security on my PC/Mac and this is bugging me how this website knew my approximate location...
