Default 'Wings' DVD

I'm not sure if this interests anyone, but they're finally releasing the "Wings" episodes on DVD on May 23, 2006. Figuring since this is an aviation forum, I thought others would have either liked the show or at least remembered it.

I have no idea who ted danson is, but I know Tony Shalhoub and some other famous actors were in there. If I recal, they did show flying, but most, if not all, of it appeared highly stagged. (although at the time I never actually flew a plane so I could care less)!

Yeah. That's who I was thinking of. Ted Danson was the guy on cheers. Not the bartender (Woody Harrelson) but the other one that always hit on Sherri.

You know what, don't tell anyone else, but I hear The Simpsons is NOT filmed in front of a live studio audience.

Is it a dead studio audience? That's just wrong, bro.

Yeah, I remembered watching it and not really caring about the flying either. But I swear I remember quite a few scenes (that were, I'm sure staged) that showed some shots of them flying and the cockpit.

Here's some trivia I found about the plane though:

-The aircraft in the opening and closing credits (N121PB) is still in use with Cape Air Airlines of Hyannis, Massachusetts.

-When filmed for the credits, 121PB was in the livery of the now-defunct Express Air of New Bedford, Massachusetts. Shortly after the filming, it became the property of Cape Air and has been used in that airline's service ever since.

-Prior to Express Air, it was in service for Provincetown-Boston Airlines (hence the PB in the registration), which went out of business the year before Cape Air started.

O.K. I'm confused now? Either my dry sense of humor has been misinterpreted or the Swedish in me has missed/misinterpreted something!

Wow, cool info Jtsastre

I got that part and it was good, but the "That's just wrong, bro" through me off! I was/am horribly confused.

This is why I like talking face-to-face with people. It leaves out all of this ambiguity mumbo jumbo that arise from message boards.

That "That's just wrong, bro" was said in jest.
